Motorcycle accident in Johnson County Sunday injures a Blue Springs man

At 5:41pm Sunday evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Highway “T” just North of Southwest 800 Road in Johnson County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2003 Harley Davidson driven by 43-year-old Robby D. Ruppel of Blue Springs travelled off the roadway, struck a road sign, and overturned ejecting Ruppel. The accident report states Ruppel suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was transported by EMS to Research Hospital in Kansas City Missouri for treatment.

Motorcycle accident in Saline County injures two male victims Sunday

Just before 6pm Sunday evening a 2000 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Thomas E. Owens of Belton ran off of Highway 41 at Route “E” in Saline County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report the motorcycle then struck a ditch, and overturned, ejecting Owens and a passenger identified as 43-year-old Wendy J. Scronce of Hickory North Carolina. Both victims received moderate injuries in the accident and were transported to Columbia Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Sedalia woman injured in a one-vehicle accident in Pettis County Saturday

Around 2:40 Saturday morning the Missouri State Highway patrol and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 127 at Crawford Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly happened as the driver of a 2000 BMW, 18-year-old Beatrice M. Coruna
Of Sedalia failed to negotiate a curve, travelled off the roadway, and overturned. Coruna was wearing her seatbelt, and received minor injuries in the wreck. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment.

Lafayette woman receives minor injuries in an accident involving a deer Sunday

At 9:25pm Sunday night the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on US-24 Highway just east of Marshall School road in Lafayette County, involving a deer.  The accident report states the vehicle a 2001 Ford Taurus, driven by 23-year-old Amy N. Callahan of Lexington suffered only minor damage in the crash, and was able to be driven from the scene. A passenger in the vehicle 18-year-old Sarah J. Callahan was wearing her seatbelt, and received minor injuries. She was transported to Lexington County Regional Health Center, by Lexington EMS for treatment.
