Two-vehicle accident in Benton County injures two men Monday

Just after noon on Monday the Missouri State Highway patrol reported an injury accident on US-65 Highway South of Drenon Road in Benton County. According to the report the accident occurred as both vehicles were Southbound, when the 2001 Nissan driven by 19-year-old Brandon C. Weaver of Warsaw overtook, and struck the 2004 Chevrolet driven by 23-year-old James J. Fisher of Stover. The accident report states both drivers received moderate injuries in the crash. Fisher was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment by Warsaw EMS, while Weaver refused treatment at the scene.

Odessa woman injured Sunday night in a deer/vehicle accident

At 8:36pm Sunday night 30-year-old Crystle K. Snyder of Odessa was injured when her 1999 Chevrolet struck a deer on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 29.8 in Lafayette County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report states Snyder was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and received moderate injuries. She was taken to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS for treatment.

Henry County accident Sunday night injures a Lowry City man

Around 8pm Sunday night the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Route-13 at Route “Z” in Henry County. The accident happened according to the report as the 1999 Dodge Caravan driven by 49-year-old Richard A. Park of Lowry City failed to stop at a stop sign and impacted the 2002 Acura RSX driven by 26-year-old Corbin E. Sapp of Kansas City Missouri. Park reportedly sustained minor injuries, and was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City Missouri by Lifeflight Eagle Air Ambulance for treatment. Park was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Minor injuries reported in a Johnson County accident Monday night

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, a one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:30 Monday night on Southwest 1151st Road at Southwest 1200th Road in Johnson County. The accident report states the 1998 Dodge Ram Van driven by 69-year-old Shirley A. Jamison of Holden travelled through the intersection and struck a ditch. A passenger in the vehicle 58-year-old Randy D. Looney also of Holden was not wearing a seat belt, and received minor injuries. He was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment.
