Fulton man seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday

Just before 2:30pm Saturday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle  accident on I-70- at mile marker 58.4 in Lafayette County.  The accident reportedly occurred as the 1995 Kawasaki driven by 54-year-old James G. Hartinger of Fulton travelled off the roadway, and struck a median cable, ejecting Hartinger. Hartinger suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was transported by Air Ambulance to University of Columbia Medical for treatment.

Lafayette County accident injures a 21-year-old Kansas City man Sunday

At 2:18 Sunday morning 21-year-old Cory E. Brown of Kansas City Missouri lost control of the 1998 Ford he was driving, and travelled off of Highway 224 at Myrick Road in Lafayette County. The Missouri state Highway Patrol report states Brown was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected when the vehicle overturned. Brown was transported to Lafayette County Regional Hospital, then lifeflighted to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Two-teenage females are injured in a Johnson county accident Monday night

Around 9:45 Monday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident, that occurred on Cass County line road, east of 2001st Road in Johnson County. The accident reportedly happened as the 2001 Ford Ranger driven by 16-year-old Brittany H. Swenson of Kingsville left the roadway and struck a tree. Swenson and a passenger 16-year old Mckenzie K. Haak of Holden were wearing seat belts, and received minor injuries. Both victims were taken to Lees Summitt Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment. The vehicle was reportedly totaled, and was towed from the scene.
