Sweet Springs man injured in a vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon

Just before 4pm Tuesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Eastbound I-70 at the mile marker 39 in Lafayette County. The report states the accident occurred as the driver of a 1996 IZUZU Rodeo, driven by 35-year-old Aaron M. Smith of Sweet Springs travelled off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Smith suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.

Two Odessa women injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning

Around 9am Tuesday morning two Odessa women were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Johnson Drive and Barkertown Road in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly happened as the Northbound 2011 Ford Edge, driven by 53-year-old Lynora L. Darden of Odessa, and the Westbound 2006 Ford driven by 93-year-old Cecilia M. Geary also of Odessa collided at the intersection causing moderate damage to both vehicles. Both women were reportedly wearing their seatbelts, and receive only minor injuries. They were transported to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS for treatment of their injuries.

Rollover accident in results in minor injuries for a Salem Missouri man Tuesday

At 8am Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a rollover accident on US-50 Highway East of 751st Road in Johnson County. The report states a 1999 Kenworth driven by 55-year-old Clinton C. Hodges of Salem Missouri ran off the roadway, and struck a guardrail. The report states the Kenworth continued eastward, ran off the roadway again, struck a highway signpost, and a ditch, and then overturned. Hodges was wearing his seatbelt, and suffered only minor injuries even though the Kenworth was extensively damaged in the wreck. He refused treatment at the scene.
