Yesterday afternoon, Sedalia Police received a report that a male suspect, armed with a knife, had raped a woman near the Katy Trail in the 2300 Block of Clinton Road. A subsequent investigation revealed the suspect as 43-year old Ronald Greer.  At 9:49 last night, Greer was located in the Centennial Park. Undercover officers from the Sedalia Police Department raided a house on south Sneed in Sedalia on early Tuesday morning (June 12), arresting Darrick Brown and Shannon Walters for the production of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.

Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police saw a suspect stealing from a vehicle in the 900 Block of West 11th. The suspect fled on foot and was located nearby underneath a parked vehicle. Joshua Shull was arrested for trespassing, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. The bond was set at $1,344 cash/surety.

Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police received a 911 call in regard to a woman that was underwater in a backyard pool. The last person to see her had left an hour before, and when they came back she was at the bottom of the pool. Personnel from the Sedalia Police Department, Sedalia Fire Department, and APSI, rushed to the scene and attempted to revive her on the way to the hospital. There was no fur

There have been many cases of broken windows to homes, businesses, and vehicles in the last week and Sedalia Police continue to receive reports of them. A man in the 2300 Block of Kay Avenue reported that someone broke the rear window of his car between 7pm on May 31st and 6:25 yesterday morning...

A man in the 1600 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police an unknown amount of copper wiring and a copper pipe was stolen from the home between 4:30 p.m. on May 21 and 3:30 p.m. on May 22.

Violence has once again marred a baseball game at Dodger Stadium.
