Child Safe is a place I hope none of your children ever have to visit. Unfortunately, there is a need for Child Advocacy centers like Child Safe in our world today.

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s Smithton Site members spent a little time this week giving back to one of the community’s best resources – Open Door.

There are many people living in Pettis County who do not have enough food to eat. Children go to school without breakfast, families struggle to put enough on the table to go around, and people sleeping rough can't always get what they need to stay healthy.

The Center for Human Services held an appreciation breakfast on Thursday (October 30) at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center for the local groups, businesses, and organizations that interact with the Center and its workers.

The Salvation Army is looking forward to another busy Christmas Season.  I know, I know, it's not even Halloween, but they've gotta get planning now! The bell ringers will be out before you know it - and they'll be working to help people in need.  Now, we just need to know who needs that help.
