Warrensburg Pedestrian Struck & Killed

A Warrensburg pedestrian was killed after being struck by a truck Monday night in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway patrol reports that a southbound 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 19-year-old Madison F. Dunnavant of Warrensburg, was on Business 13, south of a private drive at 150th Road around 8:40 p.m., when Dunnnavant observed a pedestrian in the roadway. She attempted to swerve, but struck the man, later identified as 26-year-old Kyle E. Pitts of Warrensburg.

Pitts was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center and pronounced dead at 9:55 p.m., by Dr. Jason So.

The Dodge Ram had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
