The 113th Annual McKinley Day Celebration took place the Best Western of Sedalia last night (March 20). Area Republicans and supporters showed up to help raise funds for the upcoming elections and find out about the various happenings with Republican candidates. McKinley Days is celebrated in Sedalia in honor of President William McKinley, since troop from Sedalia marched in McKinley's second inauguration in 1901, shortly before he was assassinated. Every year since, the Pettis County Republicans have met around the anniversary of McKinley's inauguration day. 

Pettis County Republican Chairman Carla Young welcomed everyone for the evening. Judge Robert Koffman did the invocation, Richard DeFord provided music for the evening and U.S. Representative Vicky Hartzler was the guest speaker.
