Benton Co. Deputies Arrest Ionia Man During Drug Search
Last Tuesday (Jan 2), Benton County Sheriffs deputies along with the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in Ionia for drugs.
According to a post on the Benton County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, the warrant was served at 321 C Street in Ionia, Benton County.
During the search, the owner of the residence, 59-year old James Hix, was reportedly located in the kitchen and detained.
A search of his person was conducted resulting in approximately 4.5 grams of methamphetamine.
During the search of the residence, another bag with methamphetamine was reportedly located that contained approximately 5.5 grams. Also discovered was a digital scale, baggies, and other drug paraphernalia to use and deliver methamphetamine.
Hix was arrested and given a bond of $50,000.
