Boat Explosion Causes Injury to Gravois Mills Man

A Gravois Mills man was injured in a boat explosion that occurred Thursday morning in Morgan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Packman Barge, driven by 53-year-old Jeffrey R. Bonnell of Gravois Mills, was at the 7.5 mile marker of the Gravois Arm at Lake of the Ozarks around 9:45 a.m., when the vessel caught fire.

Bonnell suffered minor injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by private vehicle.

The boat was totaled, according to the report.

The fire is under investigation.
