Michigan Man Injured in Lake of the Ozarks Boating Incident
A Michigan man was injured in a boating accident that occurred Aug. 29 in Morgan County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1994 Fast Glass Active Thunder was traveling northwest (downstream) at the 2.3 mile marker of the Gravois Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks at 7:44 p.m., when it impacted a large wave, causing the operator, 52-year-old Joseph K. Kenneth of Benton Harbor, Mich., to impact the cockpit portion of the vessel. The boat then made an abrupt right turn and impacted a dock before coming to rest on the northwest shore.
Kenneth suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
The boat was totaled, according to the report.
