A Brunswick man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Saline County Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Alex C. Arnold was the driver of a southbound 2008 Dodge on Missouri 41, north of Bridge GO139 at 10:02 p.m., when the driver attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway, and ended up traveling down an embankment, strking several trees.

Arnold suffered moderate injuries, and was taken by private vehicle to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the report noted.

The Dodge was totaled.
