A Centerview woman was injured in a Johnson County wreck that occurred Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2002 Chevy Blazer, driven by 61-year-old Carolyn J. McDonald of Centerview was on Highway 50, just west of Route 58 at 2:15 p.m., when she was struck from behind by a westbound 2011 GMC Terrain, driven by 25-year-old Destiny N. Valluzi of Pleasant Hill. The impact caused the Blazer to overturn.

McDonald suffered minor injuries, and was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The GMC had extensive damage, while the Chevy was totaled. Both vehicles were towed.

Johnson County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
