Clarksburg Woman Injured at 65-765

A Clarksburg woman suffered moderate injuries Monday night in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound Jeep Patriot, driven by 74-year-old Sherry L. Cox of Clarksburg, failed to yield to a northbound Ford F-650 driven by 62-year-old Dennis A. Bixenman of Marceline at US 65 and Missouri 765 at 8 p.m. The Ford then struck the Patriot.

A passenger in the Jeep, Julie A. Fisher of Clarksburg, suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Patriot had extensive damage, while the Ford had minor damage. Both were towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
