According to the National Weather Service, Sedalia has the potential for snow accumulations of 5-8 inches from Friday through Saturday (Jan 12).

Emergency Snow Routes have been activated in Sedalia through Saturday night to allow the designated roadways to be easily cleared for emergency and other vehicles.

Based upon the Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service which includes Sedalia and Pettis County, travelers need to be aware that Street Department crews and related large equipment will be out working throughout the night and over the weekend to ensure emergency snow routes are open to traffic. Motorists are reminded that space is needed by these vehicles to safely complete their jobs.

Parking is prohibited along Emergency Snow Routes as Street Department plows need access to clear and open the roadways. The Street Department will work to keep these designated streets as clear as possible.
