Excelsior Springs Woman Killed in Clay County Accident

A 41-year-old female from Excelsior Springs was killed in a Clay County accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old male juvenile was driving a northbound 2004 Volvo on Rhodes at US 69 when he failed to yield to a westbound 2001 Ford Focus at 3:18 p.m.

Killed was Stacey R. Busick, a passenger in the Focus. Two others were taken to the hospital by Clay County EMS for medical treatment. The juvenile had minor injuries and was not transported.

All were wearing safety devices, according to the report.
