Henry County deputies arrested one man early Wednesday morning (Sept 18) on multiple charges.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department says Tommy Lee Peek II was taken into custody at a residence in Calhoun just before 3:00 a.m.

Peek reportedly attempted to flee from law enforcement during the incident but was subdued with the use of a Taser.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office says Peek has put deputies lives and the community in danger several times over the past few weeks by fleeing with the use of a motor vehicle at high speeds to avoid apprehension on his Henry County warrants.

Peek also recently assaulted a law enforcement officer in Benton County by running his car into a patrol vehicle, according to a press release from Henry County authorities.

Peek remains in custody at the Henry County Detention Center with cash bonds set at $2,500.00 on charges of stealing, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest (multiple counts) and domestic assault.

Sheriff Oberkrom said, "We are glad to have Peek in custody this morning so he can no longer terrorize the community by his willful disregard for human life."
