Houstonia Man Dies in Saline County Crash
A Houstonia man died and two teens were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Saline County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 1996 Ford, driven by 58-year-old David E. Mullineaux of Houstonia, was on 125th Road, west of Diamond Avenue at 8:39 p.m., when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 1972 Chevrolet, driven by a 17-year-old male. Mullineaux was pronounced dead at the scene by Saline County Coroner Willie Harlow at 9:25 p.m. The body was taken to Lewis-Campbell Funeral Home.
The driver of the Chevy, and a 16-year-old male in the Ford, both of Houstonia, suffered minor injuries and both refused treatment on scene.
Both vehicles were totaled.
Saline County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
