A Marshall woman was injured Friday morning after she lost control of her vehicle on US 65 in Saline County.

The MSHP reported that 18-year-old Elizabeth G. Glisson of Marshall was the driver of a southbound blue 2014 Ford Escape on US 65, one mile north of Route H, at 11:20 a.m., when the vehicle slid on the ice and off the left side of the roadway.

The vehicle traveled into the median and overturned, coming to rest on its top, facing north.

Glisson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by SCAD. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the report said.

The Ford had extensive damage.

Saline County deputies and Saline County Fire assisted the Patrol at the scene.
