Icy Roads Cause Pleasant Hill Woman To Land In Pond

A Pleasant Hill woman was injured Thursday morning in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2016 Toyota Prius, driven by 23-year-old Jessica C. Hunter of Pleasant Hill, was on Highway 50, east of NW 601 Road at 5:40 a.m., when the driver lost control on the ice, struck a tree and ended up in a pond.

Hunter suffered minor injuries and was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The Toyota had extensive damage and was towed.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Trooper on scene.
