This Eccentric Missouri Town Is the Butt of Everyone’s Jokes

I have been accused of having the sense of humor of an immature 12-year-old and that's really not giving regular 12-year-olds enough credit. This won't help my cause as I share the story of the Missouri town that's been named one of the most eccentric in the state which is nearly always the butt of everyone's jokes.

As soon as I heard that World Atlas decided to crown the 7 most eccentric towns in Missouri, I knew without looking that the tiny hovel of Uranus, Missouri would be on their list. They mentioned this, but I'll emphasize it also that Uranus is not technically a town per se. It's a glamorous gathering or roadside attractions off of Route 66 in Missouri and glamorous probably isn't the word I was looking for. They are, however, the place to go in Missouri if you'd like to hear the most butt jokes in a square mile radius.

The fact is they are quite proud of their little slice of Missouri and the fact that their miniature golf course is called Uranus Putt Pirates is really all you need to know. Never underestimate my brothers and sisters in Missouri when it comes from turning a one-liner into a long-standing attraction.
