$7M Ag-Tech Investment Brings 40 Jobs to Missouri
It's about time that Missouri received some good news and I believe this qualifies. An ag-tech company has announced a huge expansion and a relocation that involves an investment of $7 million dollars that will result in 40 new jobs in the Hazelwood area.
I just spotted this report on Yahoo Finance regarding a big business expansion in Missouri and I was able to confirm this with a statement from the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The state says that Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading ag-tech companies is expanding their Hazelwood, Missouri facilities and also relocating its manufacturing and innovation center of excellence to the St. Louis region.
“This expansion reflects Pivot Bio’s continued commitment to helping farmers increase reliably, efficiency and profitability,” said Chris Abbott, Chief Executive Officer at Pivot Bio. “By investing in the Greater St. Louis area, we’re strengthening our ability to deliver breakthrough innovations to farmers, creating high-quality jobs, and deepening our roots in a region that’s become central to our growth. Farmers are looking for solutions they can count on, solutions that perform consistently and support the long-term health of their operations. Our locations in Hazelwood and Creve Coeur will accelerate our work to deliver reliable, predictable nitrogen solutions to growers at scale.”
The report says that the incoming ag-tech jobs will pay well above the county average and the total investment will be $7 million dollars. The Missouri Department of Economic Development went on to say "Pivot Bio will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation."
