A Knob Noster man was injured in a crash that occurred Thursday in Lafayette County.

According to to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2016 Toyota, driven by 52-year-old Kenneth J. Meierhofer of Knob Noster, was traveling on I-70 at mile marker 29.8 at 5:35 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck some trees.

Meierhofer suffered serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Sni Valley EMS. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Toyota was totaled.

Lafayette County and Bates City officers assisted the Patrol at the scene.
