Leeton Man Injured in Bates County Accident

A Leeton man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2021 Toyota, driven by 40-year-old Travis R. Beavers of Leeton, was on NE 231 Road, north of Route CC around 12:45 a.m., when the driver said he swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway, then traveled off the road, down an embankment where he struck a ditch.

Beavers suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment.
