The Missouri House of Representatives has announced that the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will host a regional meeting for the West Central area at the Smith Cotton High School Cafeteria on September 20, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive feedback on what Missourians believe matters most in public education.

“I encourage everyone in my district to attend this meeting," said Representative Nathan Beard in a news release. "It will be beneficial for parents, students, educators, and community members alike. As community members, and citizens of Missouri, the only way to see improvement is to participate in the discussion." Beard will be in attendance at the meeting.

The meeting at Smith-Cotton High School will include small groups that will discuss issues like the role of teachers, and preparing Missouri students entering kindergarten so they are ready for the world they enter in 2029.
