Fatal Accident reported Saturday in Lafayette County

At 5:10 Saturday evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident on Eastbound I-70 at Mile Marker-54. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2000 Ford Taurus driven by 37-year-old Ryan M. Scott of Independence Missouri travelled off the roadway, and struck a tree. Following the impact the vehicle caught fire, and then came to rest in a creek. Scott was fatally injured in the accident, and was taken to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pettis County accident seriously injures a Sedalia woman

Around 3:20 Monday afternoon The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Missouri Highway 127 at Main Street Road in Pettis County. The accident happened as the 1995 Dodge Ram driven by 38-year-old John L. Hamm of Sedalia travelled off the roadway, overcorrected causing the vehicle to run off the roadway again, and overturn. A passenger 35-year-old Sarah L. Cox also of Sedalia suffered serious injuries, and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by Air EMS for treatment.

Harrisonville woman injured in a two-vehicle accident in Johnson County Sunday

Just after 10pm Sunday night a two-vehicle accident on Eastbound US-50 Highway just west of Northwest 271 Road in Johnson injured a 28-year-old Harrisonville woman. According to the report the accident occurred as a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Timothy J. Lamasters of Blue Springs overtook a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 27-year-old Eric S. Surber of Warrensburg, and struck it in the rear. The vehicles travelled off of opposite sides of the roadway, and were totaled. A passenger in the Surber vehicle, 28-year-old Jasmine M. Grim of Harrisonville received moderate injuries in the crash, and was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center by Jonson County Ambulance for treatment.

Whiteman Air Force Base woman injured in a Johnson County accident

At 2am this (Tuesday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Southbound Missouri Highway-13 at Northwest 800 Road, in Johnson County. The accident report states the accident happened as the 1995 Ford driven by 18-year-old Amanda J. Frey of Whiteman Air Force Base travelled off the roadway, and overturned. Frey was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries. She was taken to Centerpoint Hospital by Johnson County EMS for treatment.
