Shots fired at a vehicle on Sedalia's Southside Sunday afternoon

At 12:49 Sunday afternoon the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of 6th and Missouri on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival the officers found several shots were fired at a vehicle as it approached the intersection. The police report states several pieces of evidence was gathered, and there are several leads being followed in the case.

Sedalia man arrested on a probation and parole violation

At 6:39 Saturday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East 13th on a suspect with a parole and probation violation warrant. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 26-year-old Dusty L. Jordan of Sedalia the warrant was confirmed. At the time of the police report Jordan was in the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.

39-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a Lexington failure to appear warrant

Around 2:30 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 39-year-old Shane Todd Elmer Kreisel of Sedalia on a failure to appear municipal warrant out of Lexington Missouri. Kreisel was transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $3000 bond.

Sedalia woman arrested on a Pettis County warrant Thursday

Just after 4:30 Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 30-year-old April A. Bartlett of Sedalia on an active warrant out of Pettis County. Bartlett was taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $4500 bond.

Traffic stop results in arrest for a Lincoln man Saturday morning

At 11:44 Saturday morning Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of West Broadway for making an improper turn. Upon contact with the driver the officer smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. Following an investigation the driver 26-year-old Cody James Pirtle of Lincoln was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of possession of marijuana.

Warrant check lands a 23-year-old woman in jail Saturday afternoon

Around 3:37 Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 500 block of East 5th.  Following the check 23-year-old Sarah Michelle Hartly of Sedalia was arrested on a Municipal warrant with a cash only bond of $150.

29-year-old Sedalia man arrested on drug related charges

Just before 5pm Saturday evening Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop on a bicycle at 10th and Moniteau for a bicycle violation. The police report states the rider identified as 29-year-old Scott Woolery of Sedalia was found to have an active warrant for failure to appear with an $88.50 bond. The police report also states he was in possession of marijuana, and a marijuana pipe. At the time of the police report Woolery was in the Pettis County jail.

Local business reports a theft Friday afternoon

Around 4:50 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a complainant at Kohl’s in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue. According to the complainant a suspect stole six necklaces valued at $600 from the store. The complainant reportedly followed the thief, and got the license number of the vehicle. The police report states the suspect has been located, and charges are being requested from the prosecutor.

Thief steals a woman’s truck tailgate

Just before 11am Sunday morning a woman in the 900 block of South Beacon reported a thief or thieves stole the tailgate off of her 2007 Dodge Truck, valued at between $500 and $1000. There was no information on a suspect at news time.
