On Thursday night, Pettis County Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at South Washington and East 36th Street.

According to a report, Jayden Mathis failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side and struck a utility pole.

After an investigation, Mathis was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was charged with driving while intoxicated-drugs, tampering with physical evidence, no valid driver's license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted the deputies on scene.
