On Saturday morning at 3:16 a.m., Pettis County deputies attempted to conducted a traffic stop near US 65 and HH Highway.

The driver refused to stop and instead accelerated at a high rate of speed in a black 2005 Chevy Avalanche.

A pursuit ensued and the driver of the Avalanche then drove into a field near Griessen and Salem Road.

A deputy then gave chase in the field and arrested the passenger, later identified as Pamela M. Campbell of Sedalia (pictured).

Campbell was charged with resisting arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Meanwhile, other deputies, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, searched the area for the driver unsuccessfully.

Deputies continued to investigate and follow up on leads to identify the driver.

Anyone with information on who the driver might be is encouraged to contact the Pettis County Sheriff's Office at 827-0052 or call the Pettis County TIPS hotline at 827-8477.
