
Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports For May 13, 2022

On the evening of May 9th, Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the Goodwill Chapel Trailer Court, 26515 Goodwill Chapel Road, for a report of a person being shot. Deputies were advised that the suspect had left the area of Goodwill Chapel Road toward M Highway. On Deputies' arrival, they made contact with the victim in front of his residence. The victim stated he was shot in the abdomen. Deputies noticed a red mark with abrasions on the left side of the abdomen. There was no blood, and the bullet did not penetrate into the abdomen. The incident happened west of his residence along the driveway to the trailer court. The suspect has been identified, but has not been located.
Thursday night, Deputies responded to the Super 7 Hotel, 5650 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a domestic disturbance no longer in progress. Upon arrival, Deputies located Nickie Smith, 36, of Sedalia. Smith was known to have an active Pettis County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Assault. Smith was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held on the warrant, pending a $100 cash only bond.
Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check on the afternoon of May 8th. Deputies were called to the 4100 block of McVey Road, and after investigation arrested Pavel Kotok. Deputies are seeking two charges of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree against Kotok.
Wednesday morning, Bryce Robejsek of Sedalia turned himself in to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Obey a Judge's Order. Robejsek was taken into booking, released to Jail staff, and bonded out.
