In the early morning hours of September 4th, the Pettis County K9 Unit observed a male subject sleeping behind the wheel of his motor vehicle while in the drive through of the Taco Bell restaurant, 820 South Limit Avenue. When the Deputy made contact with the driver, he could smell the strong odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from his person. Matthew Cole Alexander was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and later released with a court date.


 

Monday night, Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the Cenex Station, 4851 South Limit, in reference to a female subject in the parking lot with a pink stethoscope around her neck, looking into vehicles with a flashlight. The Pettis County K9 Unit arrested Lori Hadley of Sedalia on charges of Burglary in the 1st Degree and Possession of Marijuana.


 

The Pettis County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 9th Street and South Ohio Avenue Monday evening for a vehicle failing to display license plates. During the stop, the driver was found to have a suspended driver's status. Cornelius A. Read was arrested for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was released with a court date.


 

Monday evening, Deputies arrested Brian Ray Corf, 37, of Sedalia on three warrants. Corf had a Saline County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Saline County warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and bond on those two warrants was set at $20,000 cash only. Corf had a Miller County warrant for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree with a bond set at $2,000 cash or surety. Corf was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Pettis County Deputies took a report of a vehicle theft Monday in the 31000 block of Whiteman Road in Mora, Missouri.


 

On Monday, Adam Nevels of Sedalia reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that his spare tire from his livestock trailer was either lost or stolen.
