KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — More than 100,000 people are without power after strong storms swept through the Kansas City area. Kansas City Power & Light says about 107,000 customers have lost electricity, about Independence Power & Light reports about 42,000 outages. The National Weather Service says the storms that rolled through the area overnight included wind gusts up to 80 mph.
