Who says you can't enjoy all four seasons within a span of 48-72 hours in Missouri? Even though it's still Autumn, we'll experience summer-like conditions for the next 24 hours. Then we jump into Spring, settle back into the Fall mode for a few hours, and then a preview of cold Winter-like temperatures arrive over the weekend.

Record warmth and breezy conditions will occur today as a strong system develops to our west. As this feature heads to the northeast tonight, a strong cold front will pass across our region early Friday morning. This will mark the beginning of a rather significant cool down which will persist into the upcoming weekend with hard freeze conditions expected both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Gusty Southwest Winds of 20 to 30 MPH combined with low relative humidity levels will result in an elevated fire risk in the area. Isolated non-sever storms will be possible tonight, mainly east of 65 Highway.
