Here is a sampling of cases that were resolved in Pettis County Circuit Court from January 10 through January 31, 2017 - courtesy of Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney, Phillip T. Sawyer.

George Sant, Jr.,  age 37,  Sedalia,  Missouri was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections for statutory rape in the first degree and 10 years in the Department of Corrections for statutory sodomy in the first degree.  Sentences to run concurrently with one another.


Dominique J. Taylor,  age 27,  Sedalia,  Missouri was sentenced to concurrent terms of  7, 4 and 4 years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty on 3 separate matters (1 count possession of a controlled substance, 1 count possession of a firearm and 1 count domestic assault in the 2nd degree).


Danielle M. Bradbury,  age 27,  Kansas City,  Missouri,  was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for forgery and 4 years in the Department of Corrections for fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled  substance.  Sentences to run concurrently with one another.


Jerry Cook,  age 33, Sedalia,  Missouri, was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for the class C felony of assault in the second degree.


Monty Allen Ellis,  age 28,  Sedalia,  Missouri, was sentenced on 3 counts of delivering or concealing a controlled substance in a County Jail.  Ellis was sentenced to 4 years on each count to run concurrently with one another and with any other sentence.


Holly N. Jett, age 29, Sedalia, Missouri, was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for the class C felony of possession of a controlled substance.


Elijah A. Nash, age 21, Sedalia, Missouri, was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections for the class C felony of assault in the second degree.


Jonathan Joseph Fisher, age 27, Wentzville, Missouri, was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after his probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a previously imposed suspended 4 year sentence.


Richard A. Kurtz, age 36, Sedalia, Missouri was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections after his probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a previously imposed suspended 5 year sentence.


Justin L.  Pruett,  age 25, Sedalia,  Missouri was sentenced after his probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a previously imposed sentence of  7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count.  One count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, deliver and sell and two counts of possession of a controlled substance to be served concurrent on each.
