The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners played in the Hardscrabble Invitational at the par 70 Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas on March 4-5.

Sophomore Keaton Mateja recorded the best finish for SFCC. Mateja finished 59th with scores of 85 in round one, 86 in round two and 92 in round at three for a total score of 263.

Freshman Riley Bagley finished 61st at the event. Bagley shot 100 in round one, 110 in round two and 97 in round three for a total score of 307.

Sophomore Alfred Poulter finished 62nd at the event. Poulter shot 98 in round one, 113 in round two and 108 in round three for a total score of 319.

Sophomore Korbin Kisner withdrew from the event due to an injury.

“We accomplished what we went to the tournament for,” said Head Coach Wayne Ogle. “We were looking to get early season competitive repetitions in our first tournament in Dallas and this one in Fort Smith, Arkansas in good weather. That will hopefully help us, as the season moves forward.”
