A one-vehicle accident injured a Sedalia woman on Thursday night in Saline County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported.

The report stated that a northbound 2018 Honda driven by 21-year-old Stephanie Herbert of Sedalia was traveling on US 65, south of Route H when the driver swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway. She overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway, striking a road sign and crossing over Route H. The vehicle then struck another road sign, hit the ground and overturned.

Herbert suffered minor injuries and refused treatment on the scene.

The Honda was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Saline County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
