A California man was seriously injured in a rollover wreck that occurred in Pettis County Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2002 Chevy driven by 25-year-old Mikhail S. Martosich of Sacramento, Calif., was on Fristoe Road, south of Sinkhole Road at 1:45 p.m., when he ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and ran off the left side. The driver then overcorrected again and ran off the right side again, striking an embankment and overturning, with the vehicle coming to rest on its side.

Martosich, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD.

The Chevy was totaled and towed by InMotion.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
