Ag-Power, located at 2205 South Limit, reported to Sedalia Police, that a burglary had occurred in the early morning hours of February 12. Someone had forced entry into the business and stole several items. The total amount of the stolen items was placed at $2,000. The property damage was placed at about $800.

On Wednesday (Feb 15), Pettis County deputies arrested a suspect in the 4700 block of South Limit, in connection to the Ag-Power burglary. The suspect, 42-year-old Robert D. Burns, of Kingsville, MO, was released to detectives of the Sedalia Police Department. Burns was then placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending charges of 2nd Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Property Damage, and Stealing. The stolen items were recovered.


On Thursday (Feb 16), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies responded to 205 Thompson Road in reference to a woman with an active warrant. The woman was identified as Tara Karkiewicz. She was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, for being a fugitive from justice.
