Sedalia Man Arrested in Connection to Stealing from 2 Area Businesses
Sedalia Police arrested a 54-year old man in connection to two incidents that involved stealing from area businesses.
According to the report, on June 25 of this year, Sedalia Police investigated the theft of a phone from Dollar General, at 619 N. Ohio Ave. The value was placed at $44.
Then on July 14, Sedalia Police investigated a theft that occurred at K-Mart, located at 1400 S. Limit Ave. The report says that approximately $1,561.91 worth of jewelry was stolen and there was $150 worth of damage to the jewelry case.
On Tuesday (July 25), Sedalia Police identified the suspect as 54-year old James Edward Kempf.
According to the report, Kempf was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail, for Felony Stealing, 2nd Degree Property Damage, and misdemeanor stealing.
