Sedalia Woman Driving Stolen Car Caught Stealing at Dollar General

On Thursday morning just before 11, Sedalia Police responded to a theft in progress at Dollar General, 4215 East Broadway.

The complainant stated that a female suspect was concealing items while inside the store. The female exited a short time later and was taken into custody. According to the report, she had multiple items concealed in a large purse.

The suspect had previously been trespassed from all Sedalia Dollar General stores, it was noted. A computer check of the vehicle the suspect used to drive to the store revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Pettis County.

The suspect, 43-year-old Nicole Rae Chumpraphai of Sedalia, was placed under arrest, and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was charged with stealing, 2nd degree burglary, and 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
