The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.

Sedalia Police Investigate Two Assaults

Yesterday (Dec. 1), Sedalia Police wen to to the 3100 Block of West Broadway in reference to a reported disturbance. A caller reported to Sedalia Police that during a child exchange with her ex-husband, her ex-husband's new girlfriend began to argue with her. According to the caller, the new girlfriend attempted to hit her with her vehicle.

Sedalia Police investigated a reported assault in the 1300 Block of South Limit.

Sedalia Police Arrest A Man After He Fled From an Accident

Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle crash at North Grand and West Main on Nov. 28 at 10:28 a.m. The occupants in the vehicle fled from the accident. Two of the occupants were located near the scene and said the driver fled north. The suspect, Shane Harris, was found a few blocks away and was placed under arrest. Hines was arrested for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and assault in the 2nd degree.

Several Thefts Reported Over the Weekend

A man in the 1100 Block of Woods Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole a trailer, tools and a Zero Turn lawn mower from his home sometime between 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 28 and 7:25 p.m. on Nov. 29.

A man from Sweet Springs reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole a water heater and air conditioner from his property in the 15000 Block of 32nd Street Road in Green Ridge on Dec. 1.

Yesterday (Dec. 1), the Pettis County Sheriff's Office received a report from a victim who reported that their shed was broken into in the 20000 Block of Tanglenook Road and three kerosene heaters and 150 feet of electrical cord valued at $100 was stolen between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1.

Employees of Casey's at 3050 South Limit reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $39.95 gas drive off on Nov. 30.

Several Arrests Made Over the Weekend

Sedalia Police arrested Stacey Schultz for failure to appear, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Robert Anderson for failure to appear, bond set at $1,000 cash/surety and a failure to appear out of Morgan County, bond set at $198.50 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Treva Pounds for having a Johnson County warrant, bond set $500.

Sedalia Police arrested Damien Surber, bond set at $150 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Claudine Cozine for failure to appear, bond set at $103.70 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Carol Brower for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested David Braden for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police arrested Jerry Cook for driving while intoxicated and having no operator's license.

Sedalia Police arrested Zachary Palmer for destruction of non-city property.

Sedalia Police arrested Shawnna Akers for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested James Storment for driving while revoked.
