Property Damage Occurs at Thompson Hills Shopping Center

A white semi and trailer pulled the lines down at the Thompson Hills Shopping Center as he was exiting the lot yesterday morning (Sept. 5) at 9:35. Witnesses say they saw the vehicle travel eastbound on Highway 50 after the vehicle pulled down a fiber optic cable and left the area. The Thompson Hills Shopping Center maintenance staff had to close two of the three entrances to the shopping center as a result. Sedalia Police were given a license plate of the vehicle and they are investigating the incident.

Sedalia Police Investigating A Reported Case of Child Abuse

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Joshua Corpier for a possible child abuse charge. Corpier was placed on 24-hour hold and the charges have been submitted to the prosecutor for review.

Sedalia Police Investigate Two Reported Thefts

A man in the 800 Block of West 7th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into the home and stole $60 worth of wiring from the home between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5.

The Cork & Bottle reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $48.72 gas drive off that occurred yesterday (Sept. 5).

Pettis County Deputies Investigate an Assault Charge

Pettis County Deputies are investigating a reported assault that occurred on Gentry Road on Sept. 4.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Reported Harassment

A woman in the 700 Block of East 10th reported to Sedalia Police that she was harassed via text messaging yesterday (Sept. 5).

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested April Smith for driving while suspended, bond set at $533.50 cash/surety and failure to appear for no seat belt, bond set at $10 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Melissa Schreuders for having a Sedalia warrant, bond set at $200 cash only.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Charles Winsauer for being in possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
