A search warrant was executed December 12 in the 500 block of E. 10th Street, following an investigation into suspected meth distribution. Sedalia Police say 37-year-old Jeremy Bush was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and additional evidence of meth distribution was found. Another suspect, 61-year-old Ronald D. Barker, was found to have an active Pettis County failure to appear warrant and was also arrested. Three others that were contacted by police were released from the scene.


A 36-year-old man was arrested December 9 after the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at a residence in Hughesville. Authorities say two firearms, one reported stolen, and methamphetamine were found. Brandon Blaylock was taken into custody and has been charged by the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office with possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, and unlawful use of a weapon. Also arrested was 19-year-old Ana Marcos, who was found to have an active Pettis County warrant for forgery.


The Pettis County Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary in progress in the 32000 block of Renken Road on December 8. Deputies attempted to stop a suspect vehicle, which fled and a pursuit that went into and through the city of Sedalia began. The vehicle stopped in a farm field near Genry Road, and 36-year-old Kevin White was taken into custody. The driver, 33-year-old Adam Moore, fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance from the vehicle.
