Traffic stop results in arrest for a 26-year-old Sedalia man

At 10:06 this Friday morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Prospect with expired registration. Upon contact with the driver, 26-year-old Jeremy Mullins of Sedalia, he was also found to be revoked. Mullins was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Theft complaint filed by local auto dealer

Around 11:30 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to Superior Auto, located at 620 West Main, on a theft complaint. According to the complainant, someone stole the catalytic converter from a GMC Safari Van sometime overnight . There were no suspects.

Michigan Man Fatally Injured In Pettis County Car Accident

At 3:25 Thursday afternoon (Nov. 21), the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reported a fatality accident that occurred on Missouri Highway 52 East of Pleasant View Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occured as the 1997 Dodge Intrepid driven by 24-year-old Brandon Kennedy of East Tawas, Mich., passed a 2010 Ford on a hill crest and struck a 2012 Cadillac driven by 79-year-old Wayne Greenough of Windsor head-on. The two vehicles then rotated in the roadway, striking two other vehicles on the roadway. Kennedy suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at 9:02 at Research Hospital. Greenough and his passenger, 74-year-old Marilyn Greenough of Windsor, received serious injuries and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment. There were no injuries reported in the other two vehicles in the accident.

Johnson County accident Thursday afternoon injures two Warrensburg people

At 4:00 Thursday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 13 at Division in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the 2007 GMC Canyon driven by 34-year-old Micah Gaches of Warrensburg overtook and struck the 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by 27-year-old Brandon Cole of Warrensburg in the rear as it slowed to make a left hand turn. Cole reportedly suffered moderate injuries, while Gaches suffered minor injuries. Both victims were transported by Johnson County Ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment.
