Sedalia Police reports 1-21-20

Sedalia Police arrested 34-year-old Terra Renee Flinn of Pettis County after a traffic stop for speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign at Broadway and Engineer Sunday morning. A computer check revealed Flinn was wanted on a Camden County warrant on drug-related charges. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked on the warrant, as well as driving while suspended. She was released on a $500 cash bond.


 

21-year-old Destiny N. Archambault of Pettis County was arrested for DWI after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 24th and Ohio for speeding. The officer detected the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, and a field sobriety test was conducted, but stopped due to the driver not following directions. Archambault was taken to the SPD after a breath sample showed positive for alcohol. She was later released to a sober driver. Archambault now has a Feb. 19 court date.


 

On Jan. 15, a woman reported that her juvenile son was assaulted by other juveniles near 10th and Barrett, resulting in multiple injuries and broken bones. There are three suspects in the case.


 

On Saturday night, a woman reported that a juvenile damaged her TV and window blinds in the 2100 block of W. 3rd, resulting in $450 of damage. The juvenile was taken into custody and released to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.


 

Menard's, 4400 Wisconsin, reported that two suspects walked out of the store with over $1,000 of merchandise on Saturday afternoon. When confronted by management, the suspects left the merchandise behind the store. No arrests were made.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 46-year-old Glenn Dornell Walton, Jr., of Sedalia, at 2:22 a.m. Jan. 15 after a traffic stop on a vehicle without headlights on. The officer detected the odor of intoxicants, and a field sobriety test was conducted. The driver was then arrested and taken to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample. His BAC was above .08. Walton was fingerprinted and issued a citation for DWI. He now has a court date of March 4.


 

On Monday at 3:31 a.m., Sedalia Police were notified of an abandoned bicycle that was left on property located at 601 E. 14th . The bike was taken to the SPD.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police responded to a call of a male who died in his sleep overnight in the 600 block of E. 17th after suffering a medical episode. There was no foul play suspected, according to a report.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Oscar A. Negrete of Warrensburg after investigating a report of rape in the 1700 block of Heck Avenue at 4:50 a.m. Sunday. According to a report, the victim identified the suspect and he was then interviewed. Negrete was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. The case was sent to the state prosecutor for review.
