Sedalia Police reports 1-28-20

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of E. 7th at 1:13 a.m. Monday on a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a subject with a single gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were performed. PCAD and SFD also responded. The subject was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center, where he died of his injuries a short time later.


 

On Monday at 12:48 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested two people after a traffic stop for improper registration at Broadway and Winchester. According to a report, the driver, 32-year-old Samantha L. Batzel of Windsor, was found to be driving while suspended. She was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a fake $100 bill. The passenger, 40-year-old Kevin Allen Clark of Hughesville, was wanted on a felony FTA Pettis County warrant. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Sunday night, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1800 block of South Montgomery. 25-year-old Rodrigo Quetzecua was wanted on four Municipal warrants. He was also found to be driving while revoked and charged with identity theft. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $600 total cash bond.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy car bearing plates that belonged to a Nissan at 11:17 p.m. at Main and Missouri. The driver, 32-year-old Charles N. Showman of Otterville, was found to be wanted on a Municipal warrant. Showman was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 bond with a Feb. 5 court date.
