The Sedalia 200 School Board met at the Jr. High School. The item on the agenda that dominated the evening was the re-organization of the Jr. High School. The population of the Sedalia Schools has shown a 350 student growth since the new high school was built, and the classrooms are feeling the growth.

A presentation on the re-organization of the Freshman Class will apparently see those students eventually being taught in the high school.

There is also a plan to expand Smith Cotton High School, and the board voted to hire a Construction Manager as a first step in the expansion process.

KSIS talked to the Superintendent of Sedalia Schools Brad Pollitt about the agenda items.
