Sedalia Teen Injured in Four-car Crash
A Sedalia teen suffered moderate injuries in a four-vehicle crash that happened at Route Y and Quisenberry Friday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Ella Izoita of Sedalia was the driver of a westbound 2012 Honda that attempted to turn and traveled into the path of an eastbound 1999 Jeep driven by 44-year-old Jeffrey Twenter of Sedalia at 4:20 p.m. The Honda struck the Jeep, causing the Jeep to travel off the roadway, striking a northbound 2006 BMW driven by 26-year-old Petr Kukharets of Sedalia. The Honda then struck a westbound 2006 Pontiac driven by 28-year-old Sarah Young of Green Ridge before traveling off the roadway.
Izoita was transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for medical treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The other three drivers were wearing a safety device.
The Honda and Jeep had extensive damage and towed from the scene, while the BMW and Pontiac both had minor damage.
