SFD Responds to House Fire in 1400 block of Stewart

Sedalia fire crews were dispatched to the 1400 block south Stewart around 1:55 a.m. for a report of a house on fire.

Crews found a fire in the attic.

Fire was quickly extinguished by fire crews.

No injuries were reported.

The occupants were alerted to the fire by their smoke detectors.

Crews were still on scene as of 332 a.m., completing overhaul and checking for any remaining fire, according to Sedalia Fire Chief Matt Irwin.
