Pettis County deputies issues a a summons in the county for open burning

At 7:29 Saturday morning, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of McVey Road in reference to open burning. Upon arrival deputies made contact with the owner and issued her a summons for open burn ban violation in the Pettis County Fire District.

 

Motorcycle rider receives injuries when she collided with a deer

On Friday, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reported an injury accident that occurred on Highway “E” near Dove Road in Pettis County.  According to the Sheriff’s report, 50-year-old Robin Reysack of Windsor collided with a deer and received minor injuries. Reysack was taken to the hospital for treatment by private vehicle according to the report.

 

Pettis County Resident reports an iPod stolen

According to a Pettis County Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 21000 block of Highway “H” reported she woke up around 4:30 Sunday morning and found her iPod was missing. Value of the iPod was set at $250. The Sheriff’s report states there have been no arrests in the theft, but an investigation is pending.

 

One vehicle accident in Lafayette County injures two Odessa victims

Just after 11 o’clock Friday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Eastbound  I-70 at mile marker 34. The accident happened according to the report as a 2006 Chevrolet driven by 62-year-old James McCracken of Odessa traveled off the roadway onto the median.  He then over-corrected and began to slide as he came back on the roadway.  The vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned. McCracken, received moderate injuries, while a passenger, 13-year-old Austin Mcracken, received minor injuries.  Both victims were taken to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS for treatment.

 

Henry County accident results in moderate injuries for a Leeton man

At 12:35 Saturday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Missouri Route “2,” nine tenths of a mile West of route “WW” in Henry County. The accident occurred according to the report as the driver of a 2003 Honda Motorcycle slowed rapidly for a slow turning vehicle and overturned, ejecting the driver, 28-year-old C. Ryan Monroe of Leeton. Monroe reportedly received moderate injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

 

Johnson County accident injures two women Sunday morning

At 11:15 Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri 131 just South of Northwest 355 road in Johnson county.  The accident occurred as the Northbound 2007 Jeep driven by 51-year-old Cathleen Ford of Creighton crossed the center line and struck the Southbound 1999 Dodge Durango driven by 75-year-old Florence Borer of Holden. Both victims received minor injuries in the crash, and sought their own treatment.

 

Warrensburg man injured in a Johnson County motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon

Just before 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a motorcycle accident that occurred on Missouri 23 North of Route “D” near the Whiteman AFB LeMay Gate. The accident report states that the driver of a 1984 Honda Motorcycle, 69-year-old Edward Miller of Warrensburg, entered a curve too fast and lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway, and overturned, ejecting Miller.  Miller received minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
